Dry skin may seem to release fragrance more quickly than well-moisturized skin. Heat can make scent project more strongly and develop faster; cooler conditions may make it feel quieter. Humidity, clothing, airflow and your own perception also affect what you notice over time.
Projection is not the same as longevity
A perfume can stop projecting strongly while still remaining detectable close to the skin. That is why “I cannot smell it anymore” does not always mean the fragrance is gone. Your nose also adapts to familiar smells, so checking constantly at the same wrist can be misleading.
